Chaos Computer Club

An office located in Germany dedicated to hackers whose work isn’t interrupted by the government has shown us to what extent our private security should extend. Usually, hackers don’t have a good name on the world wide perception. There has only been a hand few of cases where people have sent out viruses to users irrespective of who they are, just for the kicks. However, most of the hackers, in the ages before and even now have something that even the modern society, governments and cooperate giants seem to lack – conscience.
They have a reason to break into top secret secured websites and systems. They have intention of pulling out and retrieving data but they are there to show loop holes thereby providing measures to counter them. The finger print scanners doesn’t turn out to be the best – you can just get the print out of the glass the user has used to drink and then just stick in the pad to unlock the door. Yup, just like how you see it in the movies.
The GSM network has been no exception. Since it is illegal to hack into GSM networks, CCC had set up its own to run trials. Turns out, though not known by many, the GSM is gullible as well. So we can’t be entirely sure who’s listening on us. It isn’t only the police for security reasons, but there could be loads of other network hacker under finance of cooperates or mafia’s (both are equal to each other anyway).
Most importantly, the Whistleblowers, the guardians of the 21st Century – like Julian Assange – are supported by establishments like CCC because they support the questioning of questionable material that is considered a secret by the government. They say the important information is not being told to the people who really need to know, the ones that aren’t necessary are abused by media. Things are changing for the good as well – silver lining in the cloud. Conversations worth more than the ones about Hybrid cars.
